Polycom VVX 150 / 250 Setup — Compact Desk Phones
The Polycom VVX 150 (2 line keys) and VVX 250 (4 line keys, color screen) are the compact end of the VVX family — right for break rooms, warehouses, exam rooms, and any desk that answers its own line and little else. They are the wrong phone for BLF-heavy roles; that's a capacity fact, not a quality one.

Two keys hold an extension and one more assignment (typically a park slot); four keys allow an extension plus a small set. Neither model supports expansion — if a desk's needs grow past four assignments, replace the phone rather than fight the layout.
Everyday flows
Standard VVX behavior: Transfer (→ Blind for blind), Confrnc, Hold, DND, Messages. See the VVX 400 key map — flows are identical, minus keys.
Courtesy-phone configuration
VVX 150s often serve as lobby or waiting-room phones. Pair the hardware with a locked-down extension: external dialing off, internal whitelist only, emergency dialing on with correct location.
