Three-Way Calls from Your Desk Phone
Any desk phone can merge a three-way call: you, your current caller, and one more party — internal or external. For more than three participants, or for scheduled meetings, use a conference bridge instead; the phone-based conference is for spontaneous "let me pull in the office manager" moments.
Start a three-way call
- During a call, press Confrnc (Polycom) or Conference (Yealink). Your caller holds automatically.
- Dial the third party — extension or outside number — and wait for the answer.
- Announce, then press Confrnc/Conference again. All three lines join.
Managing the conference
- You are the host: on most models, hanging up ends the conference for everyone. Check for a Split or Manage soft key to separate the parties back into individual held calls instead.
- To drop just the third party (where supported), use Manage → Remove.
- Hold works normally: holding a conference holds all parties (they hear music, not each other, on most configurations — don't use hold as a "sidebar" tool).
When to use a bridge instead

Ask your administrator for your organization's bridge number and PINs.
